The cell cycle
Why?
The cell cycle is the life of a cell: it grows, copies its DNA, then divides, over and over.
A clock face is split into growth, DNA copying and division slices, and a cell grows, doubles its DNA and splits as the hand goes round.
Press the button to move the hand round the cell cycle clock.

Skin cells race round the cycle every day or two, while nerve cells stop the cycle and stay in the resting stage for years.
