Cell theory

Why?

Cell theory says all living things are made of cells, the cell is the basic unit of life, and all cells come from other cells.

Robert Hooke looks at cork in 1665 and sees tiny empty rooms that he names "cells", which appear on screen as rows of boxes.

Press the button to build the three rules of cell theory.

Drag the picture to look around.

One cell divides into two, each of those divides again, showing that every new cell comes from a cell that already existed.
