Using a microscope
Why?
A microscope uses lenses to make things look hundreds of times bigger, so we can see single cells.
Light shines up through a drop of pond water on a glass slide, through two lenses, and a tiny wriggling creature fills the whole view.
Press the button to light up the slide, focus the microscope and see the cells.
Loading the 3D picture.
Drag the picture to look around.
Turning the focus knob makes a blurry blob of cheek cells sharpen into clear round cells, each with a dark dot in the middle.

Worked example
A hair looks 100 times bigger under a microscope. It is really 1 tiny step wide. How wide does it look?
